Symposiums
about the Marbles from Macael
for architects, designers and decorators |
| |
|
In 1995 and due to the importance of
architects for the field of marble,
it takes place the first symposium about
the Marbles from Macael for young national
architects, designers and decorators. |
| |
The symposiums are considered as the
theoretical introduction to the field
of stone since they consist of several
current conferences about the natural
stone such as the preservation of stones,
use of the stone and adaptability to
new requests..etc. |
|
|
The aim of these conferences is to let the assistants
know as much information of the marble industry
as possible. In addition to the theoretical part,
the symposium includes a practical part which comprises
visits to the quarries, representative companies,
the Businessmen Association of the field of marble
and the foundation Andalusian Technological Center
for stone. The entire visits are guided by professionals
of the marble region. |
| |
Some
of the experts from our country who have attended
the symposiums through all these years are Daniel
Nebot Pérez (industrial designer and national
award for design in 1991; Quim Larrea (architect
and designer), Bernarndo Sánchez, (chemical
engineering graduate), Rafael Fort (researcher of
the economical geology institute and the Petrology
laboratory of the University of Alicante) Enrique
Abascal (Architect and award for IV biennial of
Spanish architecture 1997-1998 and award for architecture
in Lima 2004). |
| |
|
In 2003 the symposium is also addressed
to decorators and interior designers.
In such a way, the symposium adapts
itself to the new trends and to the
current importance of design. This new
incorporation means a step forward in
these symposiums since from now on these
conferences are open to more professional
people related to the field of stone. |
| |
A large number of specialized schools
from all over our country show their
interest in attending to these symposiums,
which every year tries to deepen into
the new applications and innovations
of the natural stone. |
|
|
| |
|
The aim of this event is to let the attendants,
young architects, designers and interior decorators,
know the wide range and use of the stone. Thus,
a wide programme of events allow these professionals
know about the extraction works and manufacture
processes by means of guided visits to quarries
and factories of the region.
